The Oakland Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They managed a 68-64 win over Culver City. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Oakland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jonathan Chapple led the charge by scoring 12 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaymani Mitchell, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Oakland and bumps their season record up to 4-2. As for Culver City, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
Oakland is on the road again on Monday and play against San Gabriel Academy at 1:30 p.m. on December 18th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (San Gabriel Academy is ranked 251st, while Oakland is ranked 241st). Culver City will be home for the holidays to greet Silverado at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
