The Mountain View Toros will take on the Perry Pumas at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Mountain View is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
Mountain View's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 22-0 margin over Mesa. The result was nothing new for the Toros, who have now won nine matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Keelie Goodman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Goodman was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played.

In other batting news, Mountain View got a massive performance out of Kylynn Sylvester, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and five RBI while going 3-for-3. Sylvester is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Hadlie Goodman, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with four runs, three RBI, and two doubles.
Mountain View always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .737. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2025.
Meanwhile, Perry faced Queen Creek in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Pumas fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. The Pumas' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Mountain View's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Perry, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8.
Perry's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Mountain View has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Perry, though, as they've been averaging only 3.9 strikeouts. Will Mountain View keep running through batters, or will the Pumas buck the trend?
Mountain View came out on top in a nail-biter against Perry in their previous meeting back in February, sneaking past 2-0. Will the Toros repeat their success, or do the Pumas have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
