The Rossville Bulldogs only won by three when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 32-point they dealt the Valley Heights Mustangs on Thursday. Rossville really took it to Valley Heights for the full four quarters, racking up a 75-43 victory at home. The win made it back-to-back wins for Rossville.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rossville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jack Donovan, who scored 20 points along with two steals. That's the first time this season that Donovan grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Mason Jones, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
The victory got Rossville back to even at 4-4. As for Valley Heights, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.
Rossville will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Marys at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Valley Heights will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rock Creek on January 23rd.
