It was a good run, but the Vista Panthers unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 74-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rancho Buena Vista. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Tuesday (61), Vista still had to take the loss.
Rancho Buena Vista's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trent Lotito, who scored 25 points. Another player making a difference was Cj Aldrich, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists.
Vista bumped their record down to 13-9 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Rancho Buena Vista, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vista will challenge Mission Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mission Vista is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for Rancho Buena Vista, they will head out on the road to square off against Tri-City Christian at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. Tri-City Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 569th, while Rancho Buena Vista is ranked 152nd).
