The Marion Swamp Foxes will head out on the road to  challenge  the Lake City Panthers  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Marion will be strutting in after a  victory while Lake City will be coming in after a  defeat.
Last Tuesday, Marion didn't have too much trouble with East Clarendon  as they won  57-39.
  Jaeda Davis was  her usual excellent self,  putting up 35 points. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which  she has scored at least a third of Marion's points.
 Meanwhile,  Lake City played a tough  contest  on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against  Kingstree, falling  50-29.
 Lake City's  loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 10-1 and their overall record down to 14-6. As for Marion, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won eight of their last ten matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record  this season.
 Marion and Lake City were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup  last Tuesday, but Marion came up empty-handed after  a  50-49 defeat. Can Marion avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
