The Concord Academy Eagles are taking a road trip to  square off against the Cannon Cougars  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Given that  the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this  matchup.
Things were looking good for Concord Academy after they put the first points on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Corvian Community by a score of  4-3.

 Noah Hatley put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out seven batters over  3.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits any time he's  pitched this season. He was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  stolen base.
 Hatley wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Teagan Jordan, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  stolen bases.  Kade Brown also deserves some recognition as  he  scored his first  run of the season.
Meanwhile, Cannon came up short against Gaston Christian on Thursday and fell  11-6. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Mason Mierzwa and  Grogan Kelley did some serious damage despite the final result:  Mierzwa  scored two  runs and  stole  Two bases. while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances, while  Kelley  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  stolen bases and two  RBI. That's the most  RBI  Kelley has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Deven Datta, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances.
 Concord Academy's record now sits at 1-3. As for Cannon, they suffered their first home  loss, dropping their record down to 2-2.
 The pitchers for both teams better look sharp  on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Concord Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 2.8  stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Cannon struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 6  stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
