The Turpin Cardinals lost against the Canute Trojans back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Turpin fell just short of Canute by a score of 50-47.
Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gunner Post, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Carson Peters, who scored 12 points.
Turpin has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Canute, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-2.
Turpin won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Merritt at 4:40 p.m. on January 6th. Canute won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hooker on January 6th. Hooker is on a three-game streak of home wins, Canute a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
