The Pottsville Crimson Tide had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of Wilson by a score of 37-35. Pottsville has not had much luck with Wilson recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Several Crimson Tide players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Christian Alvarez, who scored 11 points. Letrel Montone was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Pottsville's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Wilson, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pottsville will face off against Eastern Lebanon County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wilson, they will head out on the road to face off against Central Dauphin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
