The Orleans Bulldogs entered their tilt with the Borden Braves with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Orleans took down Borden 51-32 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Orleans also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Orleans' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bryce Jones led the charge by scoring 12 points along with four steals. Xavier Alston was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Orleans' win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Borden, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orleans will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Loogootee at 6:00 p.m. on February 1st. As for Borden, they will face off against Springs Valley at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
