Ethan Bass continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 13 of 24 en route to 33 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Aucilla Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Gamalero, who posted 17 points and eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Crossroad Academy didn't have too much trouble with Gadsden County on Saturday as they won 51-37. Given the Scorpions' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 179th, while the Jaguars are ranked 413th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Aucilla Christian better keep an eye on Forrest Dudley. He was instrumental in Crossroad Academy's win, going 9 for 17 on his way to 23 points. The dominant performance gave Dudley a new career-high in points. Jabari Boahen was another key player, putting up seven points and five steals.
