The West Fork Gators's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 74-50 walloping at the hands of Livingston. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat West Fork has suffered since December 19, 2023.
Livingston found their leader in underclassman Ziekus Garner, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Garner is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Jayden Randolph was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
West Fork has not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-22 record this season. As for Livingston, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Fork will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Splendora at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. As for Livingston, they will head out on the road to face off against Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
