Basketball Recap: Donahue Catholic Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

Evangelical Christian came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Donahue Catholic, but Isaac Loboda wouldn't allow it. The Donahue Catholic Shamrocks came out on top against the Evangelical Christian Sentinels by a score of 67-60 on Tuesday thanks in part to Loboda, who went 14 of 23 on his way to 34 points in addition to seven assists and five boards. His evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Paul Berg, who went 5 for 6 on his way to 11 points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (two).

Despite the loss, Evangelical Christian still got an impressive performance from Drew Irwin, who went 9 of 13 on his way to 19 points and seven rebounds. Irwin is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last three games he's played. Zachary St. John was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Donahue Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for Evangelical Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Donahue Catholic will head out to take on Mason Classical Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
