On Saturday, The Wibaux Longhorns faced the Valley Christian Eagles in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Wibaux breezed by Valley Christian on the road to the tune of 58-31. The result was nothing new for Wibaux, who have now won four matchups by 23 points or more so far this season.
Valley Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Daniel Stoltsfus and Brayden Mccoy. Stoltsfus rushed for 80 yards, while Mccoy rushed for 44 yards and two touchdowns.
The victory was the third in a row for Wibaux, bringing their record for this year to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.3 points per game. As for Valley Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.
Wibaux is on the road again on Saturday and play against Belt. Belt knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Wibaux likes a good challenge. Valley Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
