The Seeger Patriots suffered their biggest defeat since December 12, 2023 on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 56-31 walloping at the hands of Southmont. Seeger was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Southmont apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Addie Shrader and Cadence White certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Shrader scored nine points along with five rebounds and four steals, while White scored ten points.
Seeger bumped their record down to 13-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Southmont, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seeger will square off against North Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Montgomery is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Southmont, they will head out on the road to challenge Frankfort at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Frankfort focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Tuesday.
