The Hampton Roads Academy Navigators scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Summit Christian Academy 70-35 at home. The victory was some much needed relief for Hampton Roads Academy as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chase Miller, who scored ten points. Courtland Reiter was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Hampton Roads Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Summit Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 6-16 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hampton Roads Academy will take on Nansemond-Suffolk Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Summit Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Veritas Collegiate Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Veritas Collegiate Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
