Eastside is 8-2 against the Raiders since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Eastside Rams will face off against the Santa Fe Raiders at TBD. Eastside is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Last Thursday, Eastside came up short against the Panthers and fell 51-40. Eastside has struggled against the Panthers recently, as their match on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Santa Fe can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They came out on top against Keystone Heights by a score of 35-26. The win was just what Santa Fe needed coming off of a 59-15 defeat in their prior match.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Santa Fe to victory, but perhaps none more so than Natalie Chohan, who scored ten points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Deziah Jones, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Eastside has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season. As for Santa Fe, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.
Everything came up roses for Eastside against the Raiders in their previous meeting on Tuesday as the team secured a 59-25 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eastside since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
