Basketball Recap: Peter Jarden's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bunker Hill over Greenfield/Northwestern

If Bunker Hill was riding high fresh off their 56-34 takedown of North Greene last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Minutemen fell 53-45 to the Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers on Tuesday. The Minutemen haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Bunker Hill lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Peter Jarden, who shot 42% from the field to rack up 10 points and seven rebounds. Jarden is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Cole Yates, who posted ten points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Bunker Hill fell to 2-1.

Coming up, Bunker Hill will welcome Tri-City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Greenfield/Northwestern, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Carlinville at 7:30 p.m.
