The North Bergen Bruins and the River Dell Golden Hawks will face off at 5:00 p.m. on December 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
North Bergen can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 53-33 margin over Fort Lee. The win was just what North Bergen needed coming off of a 78-56 loss in their prior game.
Meanwhile, River Dell was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Secaucus 66-39 on the road. 66 seems to be a good number for River Dell as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
River Dell got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Liam Hickey out in front who scored 23 points. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. Sean Golden was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with three blocks.
North Bergen's record is now 1-4. As for River Dell, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season.
North Bergen strolled past River Dell when the teams last played back in December of 2022 by a score of 55-41. Does North Bergen have another victory up their sleeve, or will River Dell turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
