 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Morgan Nixon, who  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI. Those  two  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Gabrielle Provencher, who  went 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI.
 Holmes  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. They are  a perfect 3-0 when  they post two or more  strikeouts.
 Meanwhile, Hertford County was not able to break out of their rough patch  two weeks ago as the team picked up their 13th straight  defeat. They lost  20-3 to Manteo.
 Hertford County's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Holmes,  the  win  got them back to even at 9-9.
