Gayville-Volin had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were given a punishing 6-52 loss at the hands of Burke/South Central. If Gayville-Volin were expecting payback for the 22-24 loss against Burke/South Central the last time the teams met, then they were shortchanged. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Gayville-Volin off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Burke/South Central a 2-0 record.
Next week, Gayville-Volin take on Centerville at 7:00 PM. As for Burke/South Central, they will face of against Colome. Keep an eye on the score for this one : both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up next week.
