Jordan Fye and Kahsim Buey provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Clearfield. The connection went for 69 yards, the longest such play in Mountain this season.
James Oliver of Tyrone ran for the longest rushing play in the league this season against Bald Eagle Area last week. Oliver ran for 91 yards on the play and finished with 343 on the day as his team bested the Bald Eagles.
Corey Snyder was the best wideout in the league this week as Tyrone defeated Bald Eagle Area. Snyder tallied three receptions for 88 yards. Charles Wilson-adams helped Tyrone's passing attack out by catching two balls for 37 yards.
Christian Lezzer put up the best numbers through the air as the Bison topped Bellefonte. He finished with a total of three completions for 123 yards and three touchdowns. Lezzer's favorite target this week was Trey Jordan, who caught two passes for 88 yards.
5-foot-10 quarterback Austin Cunningham of Central is the league leader in passing yards this season with 836. He has also thrown nine touchdowns. On the ground, the Golden Eagles' Oliver has rushed for 1205 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Jordan. The Clearfield star has 20 catches for 625 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Clearfield takes on second place Tyrone. Last week, Clearfield bested the Raiders, while Tyrone beat the Bald Eagles.
There should be lots of points scored when the Golden Eagles and the Bison face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Tyrone comes in having scored 248 this season, while Clearfield has scored 241. The Golden Eagles scored 54 points last week as they bested Bald Eagle Area.
Tyrone was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in the league. The Golden Eagles beat the Bald Eagles 54-6 earlier in the week.
