The biggest upset of the week belonged to Stanfield, who took down 86th ranked Stanfield, 21-20.
Weston-McEwen/Griswold extended the longest winning streak in 2A Blue Mountain this week by beating Irrigon, 47-26. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Tiger Scots.
Heppner's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Aidan Wright threw for 46 yards and Jesse Corbin had 57 yards receiving. On the ground Earl Propheter chipped in 173 yards. Brian Rill helped Heppner's passing attack out by catching one ball for 19 yards.
Heppner's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Mustangs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Stephen Thompson has thrown for 485 yards and eight touchdowns this season, while Corbin has 14 catches for 221 yards. Wright leads the league in rushing with 960 yards.
The Mustangs' Wright needs only 40 yards against Weston-McEwen/Griswold next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Enterprise takes on the Tigers. The Outlaws are in third place, while Stanfield is in first place.
Grant Union and Jay Zwieselhoffer's team played the most hotly contested game in 2A Blue Mountain this week, with Grant Union eventually emerging with a 21-20 victory.
