Monroe put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Honeoye Falls-Lima Cougars 38-7. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Red Jackets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Cougars are ranked 270th).

A big part of Monroe's win came down to the chemistry between Pooty Cunningham and his top target Messiah Hampton. Cunningham threw for 254 yards and three TDs while completing 80% of his passes while Hampton gained 151 total yards and three touchdowns. Hampton also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making nine total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending one pass. Anthony Omebe was in the mix as well, providing Monroe with one score.

Monroe's record now sits at 6-0. As for Honeoye Falls-Lima, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monroe will host Batavia at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Honeoye Falls-Lima, they will square off against Western New York Maritime Charter/Tapestry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Seahawks have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
