LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - A late missed two-point conversion cost
Lehigh (Lehigh Acres, Fla.) as they fell 20-19 to
Estero (Fla.).
The Wildcats led 3-0 at halftime, but the Lightning recaptured the lead on a touchdown run by
George Rushing with 9:00 remaining in the third. Estero grabbed hold of the lead when
Cody Long ran for a touchdown with 1:00 remaining in the fifth quarter, and never relinquished it.
The victory was a completely different match up compared to last season's game between these two teams, which Lehigh took, 28-7.
The win was a nice bounce back for EHS, which lost to Cape Coral last week, 35-19. The loss was the third in a row for LHS.
