The Monrovia Bulldogs can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent game on Monday. They put the hurt on Indianapolis Lutheran with a sharp 64-40 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Monrovia has posted since November 18, 2023.
Monrovia's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mary Cox led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Emery Newlin, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Monrovia and bumps their season record up to 10-8. As for Indianapolis Lutheran, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monrovia will take on South Putnam at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. South Putnam is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Indianapolis Lutheran, they will be playing at home against Indianapolis Shortridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
