The Cypress Creek Bears lost against the Horizon Hawks back in December of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Cypress Creek had to suffer through a rough 60-26 loss at the hands of Horizon. Cypress Creek was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-16.
Horizon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emma Andrulouis led the charge by scoring 11 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Sofia Duque, who scored 17 points.
Cypress Creek now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Horizon, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cypress Creek will be home for the holidays to greet Tohopekaliga at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Tohopekaliga is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games. Horizon will be home for the holidays to greet Oviedo at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Lilly Jacobus and Sienna Astorino.
