After flying high against Noble Academy on Thursday, Carolina Baptist Academy came back down to earth. The Panthers fell 68-60 to the Community Baptist Conquerors on Monday. On the bright side, the 60- point performance marked the Panthers' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Zavien Russell had another great game (as he tends to do), dropping a double-double with 30 points and 11 rebounds for Community Baptist. With that strong performance, Russell is now averaging an impressive 15.7 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Yow, who posted 16 points.

Carolina Baptist Academy's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-4. As for Community Baptist, they moved to 2-5 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Coming up, Carolina Baptist Academy is taking a road trip to challenge Oak Level Baptist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Community Baptist, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bradford Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
