After two games on the road, Brooklyn is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Lutheran West Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Brooklyn struggled with assists on Tuesday (Beachwood had eight more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Brooklyn took a 42-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of Beachwood.
Despite the defeat, Brooklyn got a solid performance out of Ashlyn Dyson, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Dyson scored a full 48.3% of Brooklyn's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Callahan, who scored four points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Lutheran West's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 72-49 walloping at the hands of Trinity. Lutheran West has not had much luck with Trinity recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Brooklyn's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lutheran West, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Everything went Brooklyn's way against Lutheran West in their previous matchup back in January as Brooklyn made off with a 57-35 victory. Does Brooklyn have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lutheran West turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
