Cheney gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with an 11-6 win over the Medical Lake Cardinals. The Blackhawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cardinals, too.

Chris Wilson was a standout: he scored a run and stole three bases while going 3-for-5. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Banyan Mayo, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Wilson wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Cheney kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Medical Lake only managed five hits.

Cheney has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 10.5 runs this season. As for Medical Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Cheney has already played their next match, a 10-0 defeat against Central Valley on the 25th. As for Medical Lake, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-2 win against Timberlake on the 26th.
