If the Plainfield Panthers were riding high off their 40-20 takedown of the Tourtellotte Tigers last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Plainfield was outmatched by the Whippets on the road and fell 55-26. Plainfield has struggled against the Whippets recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Aniya Jenkins, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds for Windham. Jenkins also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Jaelize Rivera was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight assists and five steals.
Plainfield's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Windham, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plainfield will take on the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bacon Academy is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games. As for Windham, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Redmen at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
