Even though the Edgemont Moguls have not done well against the New Underwood Tigers recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Edgemont snuck past New Underwood with a 30-24 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Edgemont also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Edgemont's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tavian Urban led the charge by scoring 8 points along with 12 rebounds and 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Hadley Hollenbeck , who scored 6 points.
Edgemont's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for New Underwood, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edgemont won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Wall at 5:00 p.m. on December 9th. As for New Underwood, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Hill City at 6:00 p.m.
