The Jac-Cen-Del Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 71-48 margin over Lawrenceburg. Jac-Cen-Del might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won seven contests by 22 points or more this season.
Julia Meyer continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 30 points along with seven rebounds. Those 30 points set a new season-high mark for her. Reagan Hughes was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds.
Kamryn Ferreira and Natalie Knigga certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Ferreira scored 15 points, while Knigga scored 13 points. The contest was Knigga's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexie Elza, who scored four points along with seven rebounds.
Jac-Cen-Del's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.6 points per game. As for Lawrenceburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jac-Cen-Del will take on Southwestern at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southwestern comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Lawrenceburg, they will head out on the road to face off against East Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
