Section 5 Monroe Division III recap Nov. 7, 2012
Eastridge extended the longest winning streak in Section 5 Monroe Division III this week by beating Canandaigua Academy, 47-7. The victory was the 10th in a row for the team.
Eastridge took down the Braves 47-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jeremiah Ortiz ran for 151 yards in the win.
Chad Green's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Alec Mortillaro threw for 96 yards and Nate Corbett had 57 yards receiving. Delano Reid helped Eastridge's passing attack out by catching one ball for 19 yards.
Victor's Patrick Metzger and Cash Bleier have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Metzger has thrown for 684 yards this season, while Bleier, a 6-foot-5 receiver, has 23 catches for 363 yards. Ortiz from the Lancers leads the league in rushing with 1211 yards.
Eastridge led the league in scoring this week after putting up 47 points on Canandaigua Academy. Ortiz in the win.
