Basketball Recap: Bendle Piles Up the Points Against Beecher

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bendle). They blew past the Beecher Buccaneers 54-21 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Tigers have posted since January 30th.

Bendle got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alyssah Belcher out in front who posted 19 points and five steals. Emily Howard was another key player, putting up six points and 15 rebounds.

Bendle smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in four consecutive matchups.

Bendle's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Beecher, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Bendle will head out to square off against Owosso at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Beecher, they will welcome Atherton at 4:00 p.m. on December 21st.
