The Riverside Chargers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 60-33 victory over Chambers/Wheeler Central at home. That looming 60-33 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Riverside yet this season.
Drew Carraher was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points. The game was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Larry Diessner was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Several Renegades players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mason Knox, who scored six points along with six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for him.
Riverside is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. As for Chambers/Wheeler Central, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Riverside will be home for the holidays to greet Twin Loup at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chambers/Wheeler Central's road trip will continue as they head out to face Central Valley at 7:30 p.m. on December 16th. Central Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Chambers/Wheeler Central likes a good challenge.
