University won the last time they faced Sandpoint, and things went their way on Friday, too. University were fully in charge, breezing past Sandpoint 52-7. University was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
University's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 31 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Sandpoint couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 31-0 heading into the break. The offense for University continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 21 points. The win got they back to even at 0-0. The loss dropped Sandpoint's record to 0-1.
Next week, University take on Post Falls at 7:00 PM. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games. Sandpoint will look to defend their home turf next week against TBA at 7:00 PM.
