After three games on the road, Belle Plaine is heading back home. They will take on the Moundridge Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Belle Plaine will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 280th, while Moundridge is ranked 69th).
Last Monday, Belle Plaine was beaten by Chaparral 52-22. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Belle Plaine has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Moundridge stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They put the hurt on Chaparral with a sharp 56-30 victory. The victory was nothing new for Moundridge as they're now sitting on four straight.
Belle Plaine has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Moundridge, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Belle Plaine lost to Moundridge at home by a decisive 50-36 margin in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can Belle Plaine avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
