It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Little River Academy Bumblebees had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against Diboll by a score of 39-28. The win made it back-to-back wins for Little River Academy.
Leading Little River Academy to victory were Cavalli Nealy and Kasey Mraz. Nealy rushed for 160 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, while Mraz rushed for 179 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Mraz was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 66 yards.
Little River Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Diboll, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.
Little River Academy will square off against Franklin at TBD on Friday. Franklin knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six games -- so hopefully Little River Academy likes a good challenge. Diboll does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
