Warrior (8 Man) recap Sept. 26, 2012
Nuview Bridge and California Military Institute played the most hotly contested game in Warrior (8 Man) this week, with Nuview Bridge eventually emerging with a 22-19 victory. Dane Futrell threw for 143 yards and ran for 64 yards in the win.
West Shores led the league in scoring this week after putting up 40 points on Warner.
Public Safety Academy's dynamic duo of Josh Brackenridge and Andrew Diaz proved tough for Lucerne Valley to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Brackenridge threw for 132 yards and one touchdown and Diaz had 87 yards receiving. Derek Armenta helped Public Safety Academy's passing attack out by catching two balls for 45 yards.
Nuview Bridge's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Knights feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Futrell has thrown for 273 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Futrell has five catches for 134 yards. Futrell also leads the league in rushing with 372 yards.
