Top ranked Park Vista, according the Palm beach Post, proved why they are one of the elite teams in the county with a 25-12, 25-13, 25-3 sweep of Boynton Beach on Tuesday night.
Senior Daniella Vaughan led the Cobras with 18 service points, five digs and six aces. Seniors Taylor Tendrich added 19 digs, 10 service points and Brie Roulette contributed eight kills.
Boynton Beach’s Angeline Alexandre had nine kills, four blocks and Ashley Cheewah had six kills, three blocks and five digs for the Tigers.
Park Vista continues to win despite playing without senior outside hitter Audra Oakley, who suffered a tragic season-ending knee injury during a tournament in Orlando.
In the first game of the match the Cobras started out strong, racing to a 15-5 lead behind Vaughan’s serving, and didn’t look back as they cruised past the Tigers in all three games.
“We’re playing as balanced as we can be,” Park Vista coach Ira Hubschman said. “Our outsides are hitting, our middles are blocking, our setters are playing well and our defenders are digging. It’s a real team concept and we play everyone on the bench.”
With the victory Park Vista advances to 12-4 on the year and expected to be dangerous down the stretch.
