The McKenzie Eagles lost against Crow/City First Christian Academy on January 5th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. McKenzie received a tough blow as they fell 49-35 to Crow/City First Christian Academy. McKenzie has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, McKenzie saw an underclassman step up: Will Meister scored ten points along with two steals. Meister hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Griffin Withalm, who scored six points.
McKenzie has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season. As for Crow/City First Christian Academy, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.
McKenzie will be playing at home against Eddyville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crow/City First Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Mohawk at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
