Deposit-Hancock has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Walton Warriors at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Walton took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Deposit-Hancock, who comes in off a win.
Deposit-Hancock scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They strolled past Afton with points to spare, taking the game 81-64. The victory was just what Deposit-Hancock needed coming off of a 81-36 loss in their prior matchup.
It was another big night for Blake Fortunato, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 32 points and 5 assists. That makes it eight consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Deposit-Hancock's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Reis, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
While Walton couldn't quite beat Deposit-Hancock back in December of 2023, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 32-point loss they were dealt back in December of 2023. Walton fell just short of Deposit-Hancock by a score of 51-49. Walton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Deposit-Hancock's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Walton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
Deposit-Hancock came out on top in a nail-biter against Walton in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, sneaking past 51-49. Does Deposit-Hancock have another victory up their sleeve, or will Walton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
