In what's become a running theme this season, the Celeste Blue Devils gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Whitewright 55-15 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Celeste has posted since November 21, 2023.
Celeste's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kennedy Compton led the charge by scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds. Compton continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Taylea West was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and six steals.
Celeste pushed their record up to 18-8 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Whitewright, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-8.
Celeste will head out on the road to square off against Wolfe City at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Whitewright, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Sam Rayburn at 6:30 p.m.
