After flying high against Open Bible Christian last Tuesday, First Assembly Christian Academy came back down to earth. The First Assembly Christian Academy Eagles were outmatched by the Saint Francis Catholic Wolves and fell 71-42. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

First Assembly Christian Academy's loss on Thursday came despite strong showings from Sean James and Mason Burke. James went 5 for 12 on his way to 13 points and five rebounds, while Burke posted seven points. Jausten Rivera was another key player, putting up three points along with five assists and four steals.

William Collett was his usual excellent self, going 7 of 12 from beyond the arc en route to 25 points for Saint Francis Catholic. Another player making a difference was Jonah Powers, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 12 points and eight boards.

First Assembly Christian Academy's defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-6. As for Saint Francis Catholic, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-7.

First Assembly Christian Academy will take on First Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Saint Francis Catholic has already played their next matchup, a 45-44 win against Oak Hall on the 17th.
