The Quincy Trojans were the 81-55 winner over the Modoc Braves when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Quincy took a 42-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Modoc on Thursday. Quincy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Modoc's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chris Guasp, who scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 blocks. Jordan Maddox was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals.
Quincy has fallen quite a ways from their 21-5 record last season and are now at 1-5. As for Modoc, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
Quincy will face off against Loyalton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Loyalton is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Modoc, they will head out on the road to face off against Portola at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Portola is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
