Oakland (Murfreesboro) takes on
Summit (Spring Hill) for the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association Division I 6A championship at Finley Stadium on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Oakland is going for its second straight title after outscoring opponents 538-186 this season. During its win streak, the Patriots have won 26 of the games by double-digits, including 24-14 over Maryville last week in the semifinals.
Summit also has a wide scoring advantage, having outscored its opponents by a 528-169 margin, including 28-7 over Hendersonville last week in the semifinals.

They've had three common opponents during the season and handled each convincingly. Summit defeated Blackman (55-20), Shelbyville Central (57-7) and Hendersonville (28-7), while Oakland defeated the same squads 63-36, 56-6 and 42-7, respectively.
Oakland is led by the state's No. 4 senior recruit in running back
Jordan James, a Georgia commit who has rushed for 1,421 yards and 22 touchdowns.
Antonio Patterson (928 yards, 14 touchdowns) is another top running threat, while quarterback
Kade Hewitt can both pass (1,294 yards, 16 TDs) and run (165 yards, 4 TDs). Miami-bound
Isaiah Horton (39 catches, 714 yards, seven TDs) is a deep receiving threat.
Tennessee State-bound safety
Dylan King leads the defense which features top linebackers
Theron Gaines (135 tackles, eight sacks) and
Eric Taylor (120 tackles, five sacks).
Summit is led by Kentucky-bound athletes
Destin Wade, who has rushed for 2,144 yards and 29 touchdowns, and his brother, linebacker
Keaten Wade (112 tackles, eight sacks). Other top defenders are
Finley Jameson (124 tackles) and free safety
Brady Pierce (123 tackles, four interceptions).
Pierce is also a big offensive weapons with 32 catches for 738 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Summit is the defending state Division 1 5A champion and has gone 56-12 over the the last five years. Over the same time Oakland is 68-3 with three state crowns.
