 Brodee Montague made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out six over 5.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in nine consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double.
 Montague wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Blake Dalton, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  double. That's the most  stolen bases  Dalton has posted since back in August.
Piute's record is now 15-7. As for Altamont, their loss dropped their record down to 17-9.
 Coming up, Piute will square off against Panguitch at 11:00  a.m.  on Thursday. The Thunderbirds will need to watch out since the Bobcats have now posted at least ten  runs  in their last three contests. Altamont does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
