After flying high against the Chickasaw Chieftains on Monday, the St. Michael Catholic Cardinals came back down to earth. St. Michael Catholic took a 50-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Robertsdale on Tuesday. St. Michael Catholic lost against Robertsdale in their previous head to head back in December of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 52-50 score last time.
Among those leading the charge was Kole Singler, who scored 21 points. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Gabe Stevens was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
St. Michael Catholic's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5. As for Robertsdale, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Michael Catholic will be home for the holidays to greet Gulf Shores at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Robertsdale will be home for the holidays to greet Foley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
