The East Lee County Jaguars lost against the Dunbar Tigers back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. East Lee County was outmatched by Dunbar at home and fell 35-7. East Lee County has struggled against Dunbar recently, as their game on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, East Lee County still got an impressive performance from Lazaro Rogers, who rushed for 119 yards. Rogers is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dunbar to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chris Singleton, who rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Price, who threw for 82 yards and three touchdowns.
East Lee County's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Dunbar, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which lines up perfectly with their 6-2 record this season.
East Lee County will look to defend their home field on Friday against Aubrey Rogers at 7:30 p.m. Aubrey Rogers is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. Dunbar does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
