The Bay Tornadoes have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Franklin County Seahawks at 6:30 p.m. on December 4th. Bay will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 306th, while Franklin County is ranked 134th).
Last Tuesday, Bay ended up a good deal behind Arnold and lost 50-36. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bay in their matchups with Arnold: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the defeat, Bay had strong showings from Shania Heard, who scored 8 points along with 11 rebounds, and Taylor Carlson, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Franklin County entered their tilt with North Bay Haven Academy with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Franklin County enjoyed a cozy 38-24 win over North Bay Haven Academy on Saturday. 38 seems to be a good number for Franklin County as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Franklin County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Efredia Wesee, who scored 9 points. Mahala Griggs was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Bay now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Franklin County, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Bay couldn't quite finish off Franklin County in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 and fell 38-36. Can Bay avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
